WELCOME!
The YAKSTARS are an aerobatic display team flying five Yak-52 warbirds in precise, dynamic formations combining tight manoeuvres, high-speed passes, and breathtaking crossing sequences.
They are a unique Spanish-Portuguese team—the first in Iberian aviation history, military or civilian, to bring together pilots from both countries. Today, the YAKSTARS stand as the largest civilian aerobatic display team in Southern Europe and one of the largest in the world.
The concept was born during several Yak gatherings, where pilots from Spanish and Portuguese teams exchanged ideas and flew together in different formation positions. What began as collaboration quickly evolved into the vision of a unified team—one that would push performance, precision, and spectacle to a new level.
Since its creation, the YAKSTARS have built a strong reputation for excellence and professionalism, thrilling hundreds of thousands of spectators across the Iberian Peninsula. Dedication, precision, and dynamism define every performance, delivering a display that is both technically impressive and visually spectacular.
The team operates from its main bases in Casarrubios (LEMT), near Madrid, Spain, and Ponte de Sor (LPSO), Portugal—two locations that support training, development, and continuous refinement of the show.
Enjoy our website—and prepare to experience the thrill of the YAKSTARS in the sky.
