The YAKSTARS is an aerobatic display team flying six warbird Yak-52s aircraft in precise combinations of tight formations, dynamic aerobatics, high speed passes and breathtaking crosses.

It is a Spanish-Portuguese aerobatic display team - the first in Iberian aviation history, military or civilian, to be composed of pilots from both countries. At present, The YAKSTARS is the largest civilian aerobatic display team in Southern Europe and one of the largest in the world.

The concept originated after several Yak Meetings where pilots from the Spanish and Portuguese Teams had the opportunity to exchange ideas and swap formation positions, inspiring the creation of a joint team. 

 

Since their creation, the YAKSTARS have built a solid reputation for excellence and professionalism, ​thrilling hundreds of thousands of spectators across the Iberian Peninsula. Dedication, precision and dynamism are the qualities that define the spectacular aerobatics performed by the team.

Their operating bases are located in Casarrubios (LEMT), near Madrid, Spain, and in Ponte de Sor (LPSO), Portugal.
